With over 18 years’ experience in childcare and SEND, we offer Communication Friendly Play Sessions that nurture speech, language, and social development through play, interaction, and Makaton signing.
 
As a Qualified Early Years Educator, SENCo, and Makaton Tutor (with enhanced DBS), I create a warm, inclusive space where children can explore, build confidence, and develop communication skills at their own pace.
 
These sessions are ideal for children who:
🌼 Need extra support with communication or understanding
🌼 Are pre-verbal or developing expressive language
🌼 Use or are learning to use Makaton, visuals, or AAC
🌼 Benefit from small, structured, and engaging play sessions to develop social interaction and confidence.
 
Each session supports communication and social interaction through fun, play-based learning such as:
🗣️ Making choices and requesting – encouraging children to express wants and needs using signs, visuals, or words
🎲 Turn-taking and interaction – developing social confidence through play, games, and routines
💫 Following routines and transitions – supporting understanding with visuals and clear structure
🤝 People games and joint attention – building communication through connection and shared joy
🎨 Child-led exploration – following interests to create natural opportunities for communication.
 
Each session includes:
✨ Use of Makaton, visuals, and sensory play
✨ A calm, nurturing environment tailored to your child’s individual needs
✨ Practical ideas and feedback to support communication at home
